Just follow these instructions to insert the SIM into your dongle: • Remove the cap on the end of your USB dongle. • Pull out the SIM card holder.
• Insert your SIM card into the holder as shown (make sure it is the right way around). • Place the SIM card holder (with the fitted SIM) back in your dongle, as shown.
Connecting your dongle to your computer First you need to start up your computer. Then connect the dongle to your computer in either of these ways: • Insert your dongle directly into a USB port on your computer. • Use the USB extension cable that comes with your dongle to connect it to your computer. This might be more convenient for desktop PCs, but it can also improve signal strength Setting up our Mobile Broadband Software Installing our software onto your Windows PC Once your dongle is connected, you may have to wait a few minutes before the software installation wizard starts. Then: • Read and accept the User License Agreement (if it pops up). • Follow the Mobile Broadband installation wizard - the software will then install automatically. (Please don’t use the Windows Driver installation wizard (if this comes up) because it won’t fully install the software).
Our Mobile Broadband software takes a few seconds or a few minutes to install. It just depends on the speed of your computer. Installing our software onto your Mac Once your dongle is connected, you should see a 3Connect icon on your desktop. Click on it, then: • Open the 3Connect installer software. • Read and accept the User License Agreement (if asked) • Enter your password or admin login (if asked) The 3Connect software will automatically install and it’ll sit in your Applications folder.
